Junior lives, breaths, and wheels!!! (8/23/05)

Its been far too long since the last update here, but the truck is finally mostly done. There were no updates because I am home from college, and have been spending every moment I was awake, and not at work, working on the truck. It has come a very long way in the last couple of months, and is now making heads turn. Over the next few weeks I will be updating almost every page on the side, so stay tuned.

Body is on it's final resting place (5-1-05)

After a long weekend of working hard and much help (Thanks Joe!) the frame is now on wheels and the body is now on that frame, finally. After a year of work it's been a long road, and there is still lots to do. The front axle is assembled but it needs to be taken back down to get seals, guts and brakes. I also still need to put on the two rear body mount sets and make a fuel tank mount. Once the fuel tank is mounted up the engine will be ready to fire.

Once we got the body on we brought the truck home and got the steering hooked up and tested out the flex. It ended up at about 24 inches front and back, but the rear will go more after a few mods. Sadly I moved the rear axle back too far, so I need to move it forward, and both drive shafts have to be modified. But over all I am very happy with it so far.
